Connect a computer once, and Claude Code or Codex on it answers you in Legevio's **Chat**. The agent works on that computer, with its own sign-in and your own subscription. Legevio does not pay for it and never sees your keys.

| System | Checked live |
| --- | --- |
| Windows | Yes |
| macOS | Built, not yet verified |
| Linux | Built, not yet verified |

## Before you start

- **Claude Code** must be installed on the computer and signed in once (run `claude`, then `/login`).
- **Codex** is optional. Install and sign in to it too if you want it to answer as well.

## Connect

1. In Legevio, open **Settings → MCP access**. Under **Computers**, press **Connect a computer**.
2. Pick the computer's system, **Windows**, **Mac** or **Linux**, and press **Copy line**. The line carries your Legevio address, so copy it from Settings rather than from this page. It looks like this:

   Windows, in PowerShell (Start, then type PowerShell):

   ```powershell
   irm https://<legevio address>/api/executors/computer/install.ps1 | iex
   ```

   macOS (Terminal) or Linux (a terminal):

   ```sh
   curl -fsSL https://<legevio address>/api/executors/computer/install.sh | sh
   ```

3. Paste the line on that computer and press Enter. A Legevio page opens in its browser: **Connect this computer?** Check that it shows the same code as the terminal, then press **Allow**. Allow only if you started this yourself, just now.
4. The terminal says the computer is connected and online, and you can close the window. In Settings, the computer appears under **Computers** as **Online**.

From then on it connects by itself whenever you sign in to that computer.

## What the line installs

- Bun, the runtime the Legevio bridge runs on, checked against its published checksum, and the bridge itself. Both go into your user folder. No administrator rights are needed.
- A start-at-sign-in entry: a Run entry on Windows, a LaunchAgent on macOS, an autostart entry on Linux.
- A working folder, `Legevio` in your home folder, where chats work by default.

## Chat with it

Open **Chat** in the sidebar. Each conversation belongs to one project, and the agent can reach that project only.

- Pick the agent: **Claude Code** or **Codex** (Codex appears when it is installed on the computer).
- Pick the model and effort under **Model and effort**. The list comes from the computer, so it shows what your own sign-in offers.
- Pick how much it may do on its own under **Mode**:

| Mode | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Ask** | Asks before every change and command. The default. |
| **Edits without asking** | Changes files in the chat's folders on its own; commands still ask. |
| **Plan only** | Reads and answers with a plan; changes nothing. |
| **Auto** | Goes ahead on its own in the chat's folders; risky commands still ask you. |

Reading files in the chat's folders never asks, except for secret files. No mode skips the questions for risky commands.

A chat session leaves out your own plugins, skills, `CLAUDE.md` and other MCP servers, so what the agent knows about the project comes from Legevio.

## Turn it off

- **Disable access** on the computer's row revokes its access to Legevio and asks its running work to stop. Legevio cannot confirm that a process on the computer has actually stopped.
- A computer that is offline shows **Bring it online**, with the same line to run again.

> **Note.** A task can also show **Run on my computer**. It runs Codex only and is still a pilot, so these docs do not cover it yet.
